Preschool Director

The Position: Reporting directly to the school principal, RHS Director is responsible for the development, and overall management of the RHS high quality preschool program. This position manages the preschool in compliance with the standards and procedures according to the Community Care Care Licensing and RHS policies. 

This position develops, prepares and reports all preschool financial and academic, and health and safety performance reports. The responsibility of this position includes staying up to date on curriculum and trends, ideas and issues in early childhood education, coordination of parents meetings, training, and parents satisfaction; overseeing, supervision, training and evaluation of the staff and recommendations for the retention and promotion of the staff, staffing standards based on RHS quality standards and licensing requirements. The supervision of all educational aspects of the children’s progress, and assessments and classroom management is an essential part of this position. The enrollment and trends of enrollment and income versus expenses are under the management of this position.

Qualifications: A bachelor degree from an accredited university in Child Development and 3 to 5 years full time teaching experience plus at least 3 to 5 years full time administration and supervision of a similar preschool is required. Full qualification according to Title 22 is required. (24 units in ECE credits at least 3 to 6 units in Administration of Early Childhood Education credit and / or holding a Supervision and Director permit). Clear background according to FBI and the Department of Justice, plus valid CPR and First Aid certification, and current TB test result and an acceptable physical showing physical ability to perform as a preschool director. Ability to communicate effectively orally, in writing, interpersonal communication skills and ability to communicate through internet and ability and knowledge of budgeting, computer applications such as word processing and spreadsheet, and accounting applications. Weekends and evening hours may be required. 



Compensation: Salary is competitive and commensurate with the education and experience. This is a management position. Annual paid vacation plus paid holidays and bonus based on performance are provided.
